Burnout is an increasingly recognized challenge for those in a variety of working environments. Ironically, its prevalence is highest in those who work with and care for others. This video series exposes the root of burnout which are often misunderstood and provides initial steps to tackling this growing problem.
The course also touches on how individuals and organization can move from burnout to engagement. We cover the six categories based on the work by Prof.Christina Maslach i.e. workload (too much work, not enough resources); control (micromanagement, lack of influence, accountability without power); reward (not enough pay, acknowledgment, or satisfaction); community (isolation, conflict, disrespect); fairness (discrimination, favoritism); and values (ethical conflicts, meaningless tasks).
